Things you may want to know

Hello, my name is Nikita. I was born in Italy in July in 2001. You probably figured out I'm not 100% Italian. Because on top of that I have a prominent Ukrainian/Russian heritage. Hence my very Russian second surname. I'm currently studying Design at the University here in Genoa, Italy.

Since I remember I've always been a very busy kid. I always needed to keep my head and hands busy with something to do. Whether it was a toy to play with or some kind of craft. It got so bad, my mom forbid me to use paper for a while. I don't remember the context well. I was either using too much or making too much of a mess with it.Then comes another thing I seem to love doing a lot. Which is talking. I've been described as talkative by way too many people. Sometimes I had friends ask me to go talk to somebody other.During school I would only open up to the ones closest to me though. Which weren't many. And because of this I often turned to drawing silly things, folding paper etc. It became the only thing that could keep me focused in class. Because I had a very short attention span. And a lot of people noticed. Some judged me saying all i do is make origami during class. Other looked interested and curious. Some even wanted me to teach them so they could impress their friends. So one thing led to another and this is why this blog exists.I developed a passion in storytelling growing up. And I decided to turn it into a hobby. Firstly by writing fictional stories on Wattpad (you should check them out. I have some stories in English coming up!). Then I opened a blog on Blogger. And published something like two posts 😂. Then I discovered Wix a few years later and I started to build this website.

This website was created to mix together two of my favourite things (as listed above). Storytelling and my hobbies. So this is not just a blog. This is the space I not only use to talk about the thing I love. But also to promote them and showcase my work (i.e. my art...).All you will find here is everything I love. Topics range from style, to lifestyle, music I love, the art I make, sewing and other various stuff.

You guessed it! I have a lot of hobbies and always had since I was a little kid. Better keep that mind busy! But what are they actually and why?Let's firstly get the elephant out of the room. I love paper. And I did  LOT when I was a kid. Paper is fun, creative and you can create or imagine a whole new word with it. You can cut it, ford it, draw on it. The possibilities are endless!I remember learning origami and filling my entire backpack with it. I find folding paper extremely relaxing. More about paper. I loved making little garlands out of it, springs and anything that involved cutting fun shapes out of it.But that isn't all. Because as a kid I also really loved drawing. For some reason I would draw neckless  or earless people. I guess I didn't like drawing those... Through the years I got slowly better to the point I am today. One thing that never changed is that I still love drawing people. I only draw people for that matter!Other things I love is shiny things. That led me to jewellery making. Through the years I  made tons of it. I also enjoy knitting, crochet and sewing. My granddad thought me how to sew as a kid and since then I never stopped. I began from simple things to more complicated sewing recently. I'm very proud of where I am right now.

Not only do I have lots of hobbies but I also love a lot of other things as well. These include:

  • Being outside: walking, exploring, taking photos, etc.

  • Listening to music especially CDs

  • Taking care of myself: doing my makeup and nails, style my hair etc.

  • Drinking coffee at all times.

If you do then I will highly recommend you to subscribe here to stay up to date will all future post updates and news.
