Do you need clones? My tricks on managing time to achieve the most.

Updated: Feb 20, 2020

I was watching a video from Maxmello where he said it would be nice to have clones do your stuff for you, but since clones don't actually exist (for now), i thought: do we really need them? of course not and here I will try to give you all as much tricks of mines to survive to a cloneless life.

1. Find what you have to do.

a great start would be to compile in one block all the stuff, boring or not, that you want to get done by the end of the day. if you find nothing, search on the deepest side of your mind where laziness never comes.

2. write your stuff down.

scientific research showed us that it's a lot easier to remember stuff after we write it down on a piece of paper: a to-do list is a very nice gadget to have and here you can check out a diy version for yourself (v. 1, v. 2).

3. get timings done.

getting the time on point will make sure that you're wasting no time doing nothing productive and will also help you to put breaks here and there to rest while giving yourself for example time to finish a level of your favorite game etc. just make sure the breaks are no longer than 10 mins and that you don't put them too often and too long, by giving yourself time to do more activities in a row.

4 Write the given time next to the activity.

write down next to the activity how much time you give yourself to do a specific thing or write instead the time interval between activities (e.g. 1pm to 1:10pm) so that you can keep track of the time you're using and how much is left.

5. make your list visible.

make your list as easy to read as possible, add bright colors to make it stand out and in the end stick it on the wall so that you will have no excuse to say you didn't see it. put it in a strategic place where you know it will catch your eye every time and mark off the stuff you already did to not make your brain trigger and get confused. the easier it is to read the easier it is to understand and follow.

6. procrastinating is your enemy.

think about the end result rather than the process or think about the next break: to get there you have to complete tasks, kinda like playing a game. procrastinating will soon become your enemy.

hope this stuff is useful: see you next time!
